Late Night comes out tomorrow.

Preview from someone who got their hands on it early:

Good looking game, elevators were killing sims?  Reminds me of a couple elevators in other games.

The preview mentioned elevator deaths in previous games.  The lifts at the wood elf village in EQ could kill you if you lagged.

Found a video on Youtube, I think.

Looks like you could have sex in the elevators too.

Just found out Sims in the console version can die from having sex.

Getting Latenight this weekend. A lot of people in the sims community don't seem to like it though. Here's hoping it's terrible so I can get my homework done.

Buggy (normal complaint for a sims game), apartments can only have one family per building, too easy to become a celebrity, vampires everywhere, not enough content for the price, etc.

Sometimes an expansion would be better off as cheaply priced DLC.  Though I figured Late Night would be substantial, with that preview talking about a new city.  Sounds like some things are just too easy or too accessible, except for multiple families in buildings.

The no other families in the building is a mistake, I've been playing, and my sim has neighbors in their apartment. Haven't really explored yet (was tired and freezing when I got home), but my sim became a 1 star celebrity for delivering one of her novels to an actual celebrity. She got some paper towels in the mail for being famous. O_o Celebrity rating goes up to 5 stars and the more famous you become, the more paparazzi bother you, you can sue them for spreading rumors and ruining your reputation. Everyone in town seems to be at least a 1 star celebrity.
There are more instruments, which is a plus. Dancing is an actual skill now, so is drink mixing. I like the new hair styles and outfits. Under personality traits, I think they renamed "insane" "eccentric". I made an eccentric sim and they randomly change into their dress clothes.

Paper towels?  o_O  It makes some sense to have the paparazzi pay attention to you if you have contact with a celebrity.  Wonder if they offended anyone before changing "insane" to "eccentric".

Also got some fireplace pokers, a mounted fish and a discount on skill books. They've added the ability to be invited to parties, if you're invited you get a notice and then a reminder before the party starts. The subway is a nice addition. I like how each individual interment is a separate skill, in the old games, they all counted under music which didn't make sense.
