I'm annoyed at how long it can take to get a mac version of games. It took two years for Bioshock to come out on mac, and a US mac release of the Doctor Who games still hasn't happened.
Eh, I'll be in England soon enough anyway and can have all the Doctor Who stuff I want.

The more links push their site to the top of google results for the keywords they spam with them.

Speaking of which, maybe you need to turn approval back on after what happened yesterday.

OTL Guess I'm getting a PS3. It's going to feel weird playing an Alice game with a controller instead of a keyboard.

Currently watching Nana and Panty and Stocking with Garter belt.

Non-anime wise I'm watching the current series of Doctor Who and Psychoville.

I've tracked down one of the Ring television series, gotta get around to watching it.

Nana's great, Perfect Blue was like a Hitchcock film.
11  Anime and Entertainment / Gaming / EA Doing Away With Disks on: May 11, 2011, 05:46:06 am
Electronic Arts is aware that the future of gaming lies in digital content and wants to eventually move away from physical discs. In fact, EA CEO John Riccitiello is planning to completely convert the gaming giant.

"Over the coming years, we will transform EA from a packaged goods company, to a fully integrated Digital entertainment company," Riccitiello said in an earnings call yesterday, according to a transcript posted on investment news site Seeking Alpha. "We're transforming EA to a games as a service model by focusing on three new strategies."

I don't want this. DVDs don't disappear in a HD crash.

I haven't actually seen the commercial on TV yet, but it's bizarre. Such an odd choice for the American market.
13  Anime and Entertainment / TV and Movies / Perfume To Be Fatured in Cars 2 on: May 10, 2011, 04:49:45 am
Today it was revealed that popular techno-pop trio Perfume will make an audible appearance in Disney Pixar’s “Cars 2” as well as on its official soundtrack.

It was decided to use the trio’s hit song “Polyrhythm” as one of the film’s background songs, and it won’t be just limited to its Japanese release. The song will also be included on the official soundtrack CD that will be released worldwide in June, thus making it their world debut in some sort.

In “Cars 2″, star racecar Lightning McQueen and the incomparable tow truck Mater take their friendship to exciting new places when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world’s fastest car. “Polyrhythm” will sooth your ears when the friends decide to party in town the night before their race in Japan.

A while ago it was announced on the official Japanese website of the film that they were searching for a nice Japanese song for that scene and apparently many people recommended Perfume’s song to the production team. The producers and directors liked it as well and were delighted to find such a great fitting song.

It is common for Japanese artists to provide songs for the Japanese releases of films, but only a few Japanese artists have been included in international versions of non-Japanese films. A great honor for Perfume and a great opportunity to become known outside of Japan and the realm of J-Pop fans.

This will actually be the second time they've been in the American media, Monochrome Effect was in an episode of American Dad.
Polyrythm was their break-out hit in Japan.

I wonder if they'll have any business left. Over a month of downtime is ridiculous, especially for a company the size of Sony.

There's no mention of a mac version on EA's site either, and it doesn't show up as an upcoming mac game.
